Dooars CTC tea is a robust, full-bodied black tea from the forested foothills of North Bengal — a staple in our chai patti blends.
Dooars tea comes from the lush plains at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in West Bengal. Known for its smooth, well-rounded character, Dooars CTC complements the malty punch of Assam CTC beautifully.
In our Freshful and Flavourful blends, Dooars CTC adds body and balance — smoothing out the boldness of Assam while contributing its own rich colour and brisk finish.
The word "Dooars" comes from the Bengali word for "doors" — the region is the gateway between the plains of India and the kingdom of Bhutan. Over 150 tea estates operate in this corridor.
